7¼" Class 86 (86262) Bo-Bo in BR two-tone green
24 volt battery electric is the mainstay of the club and can frequently be seen hauling passenger trains. Built by club members in 2002, the locomotive has recently had a bank of new batteries installed. Having travelled several thousand miles in service in January 2017 the loco underwent a major overhaul and was reintroduced to service in Easter 2019. 86262 would have been the next TOPS number of the full size locos built from 1965-1966.
